Pistoleros'
Cowboy Action Shooting matches are held on the 3rd
Saturday of each month. We are a SASS affiliated organization.
Registration is from 8:15 am to 9:00 am. A mandatory shooters meeting is
held at 9:15 am. We try to start burning powder as close to 9:30 am as
possible.
We usually setup 6 Cowboy stages on Friday before the match at 3:00 pm,
and all help is greatly appreciated. So, if you are not busy, come on
out.
Round count varies from month to month. If you have 60 pistol, 60 rifle,
and 36 shotgun you should be ok.
New shooters to Cowboy Action Shooting or Eustis Gun Range
are required to attend a safety briefing prior to the match. This briefing will begin at 8:30 am. When checking in for the match, please let the person at check in know you are a new shooter or new to the range. Your first monthly match at Eustis Gun Range is free.

NEW COWBOY SHOOTER CLINIC
Starting in January 2010, we will be starting a new clinic. It will be held on the second Sunday of each month starting at 9:00 AM. We will cover the basics of CAS along with rules, choosing your equipment, gun handling and most importantly SAFETY. We will have several types of firearms there for you to compare and try before you buy. While there is no charge for this, we do ask that if you use our ammunition, you reimburse us for it. It is strongly recommended that you attend these sessions before you shoot your first match. For those that are a little more experienced, it will serve as practice.
The range is located just north of Astatula off CR 561 at the end of
Frankie's Rd. across from the landfill. (See the
map page.)
If you need further directions, give one of our committee members a
call.
Cowboy Match fees are: $10.00 per participant. All juniors 16 years and
younger shoot for free.
Food
services are generally available for breakfast and lunch.
No formal lunch break is taken but you should have time to eat. You can
pay in advance have it waiting for you to pick up.
