Pistoleros are broken down into 4 categories.
Any style shooting – ie Cowboy, Wrangler, Frontier Cartridge, etc.
Any one handed shooting style - ie Duelist, Gunfighter, Classic Cowboy, etc.
Seniors – Anyone 60 years and up. Must shoot a senior or above category
Ladies – Any lady, any shooting style
The top five in each category will receive special recognition and awards at Ides of March 2011.
HOW TO QUALIFY
You must shoot at least 7 matches.
A maximum of 9 matches will be used in the compilation of scores. Once you shoot 9 matches the lowest finish will be dropped if a higher finish is achieved.
The top ten in each shooting style will be broken down from highest to lowest. Highest finisher will receive 10 points down to one point for 10th place.
Another point will be added for a clean match.
At the end of the year should there be a tie for "Top Gun" in any category, the tie breaker will be as follows: The shooter with the most matches followed by the most first place finishes during the year. Should there still be a tie, the next tie breaker will be the one with the most clean matches.
